We set up multi-year contracts with them in an effort to create long-term relationships as part of a win-win partnership. We follow possible reliance per category of ingredients to ensure a steady supply. For plants, we have stock based on market forecasts and on our knowledge of the supply chain. In this way we are able to pre-empt any risks of the supply line being cut. We are in direct contact with plant producers for very specific needs.

3i nature checks all the batches delivered either using more traditional methods or methods we have developed ourselves. In this way we are able to get to know the plants at risk, determine the tracers and harness the power of the active ingredients. We have a database which has been continually added to and expanded over the past 20 years and a network of experts in the use of plants and natural ingredients. We take part in programmes bringing different parts of the world together in order to promote agriculture using suitable techniques in association with experts (pharmacognosists, specialists in plant chemistry, ethno-botanists …) in order to verify the properties of the bioactive ingredients.
